Yariv Lavi, Director of Business Development at 888, has revealed he is leaving his role this week after over 13 years with the betting firm.

In a statement, Lavi said: “It's been an incredible journey and I'm so appreciative for the opportunity to have worked with such talented people.

“I've learned so much from my colleagues and managers, and I'm proud of the work we've done together. I'm also grateful for the chance to have worked for one of the best gaming operators in the world and to collaborate with amazing partners across the industry.

“I'm excited to see what the future holds and confident that I'll be able to build on the foundation I've established at 888.”

The news comes soon after 888 decided to sell off its Latvian operations to Finnish operator Paf Consulting Abp (Paf) for a sum of €28.3m ($30.5m), further announcing that it had welcomed 6% in new investment from a consortium.

On Friday, however,Play Casino Online that investment was put on hold after a licensing review following the involvement of ex-GVC duo Kenny Alexander and Lee Feldman.

On the Latvian deal, meanwhile, Lord Mendelsohn, Executive Chair of 888, said: "We continually review our asset base to ensure that we are only holding assets that both contribute to our long-term strategy and will maximise value for our shareholders.

"As a business, our relatively limited exposure in the Baltic region means that the region is not one of our core or growth markets where we prioritise our investments.”
